William Lennertz (Laguna Hills, California) is an avid distance runner, and lover of the Santa Ana Mountains. An English professor at Santiago Canyon College, he loves Henry Miller, The Green Lantern, raw almonds, Marcel Proust, and Belle and Sebastian. His work has appeared haphazardly over the years in tiny magazines.

One of Lennertz's poems, "Portraits of the Poet's Mother (or Why Watercolors Just Don't Carry the Weight)," appeared in Volume 1 Issue 4 of Apparatus Magazine.
